The Robert Cray Band

The Robert Cray Band, led by five-time Grammy Award winner Robert Cray, has been a significant force in the blues scene since 1974. Known for blending blues, soul, and R&B, the band has released over 20 acclaimed albums, with 15 reaching the Billboard charts.

Their 1986 album, *Strong Persuader*, earned a Grammy and featured the hit “Smoking Gun,” which broadened their audience. In 2011, Cray was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, recognizing his contributions to the genre.

The current lineup includes Robert Cray on guitar and vocals, Richard Cousins on bass, Dover Weinberg on keyboards, and Les Falconer on drums. Their latest album, *That’s What I Heard*, released in 2020, showcases their enduring creativity and commitment to the blues.
